![]() ![]() It might be fun to do a 1e D&DG style Wonder woman entry/character. I doubt, however, she'd get close enough to use it. It can cut through literally any substance, and has even cut Superman's skin. making it impossibly sharp, and defying all ordinary physical laws. The sword is described on at least one occasion as being so sharp as to be able to shave electrons off of an atom. Her sword could indeed do some serious damage to Thor. Regardless, WW doesn't have much in the way of long distance offensive capabilities as Thor does. As I said, it's not really mind control, or anything resembling absolute submission, but more of a mere humble obedience, just as an underling would obey a superior. although I can't think of any reason he would be. If it makes a better story to do so, I'm sure that Thor would be immune somehow. it's going to depend heavily on who's writing and how faithful they want to be to the portrayal of the device. You can be compelled to do things even if you don't want to without your mind actually being controlled, but you do them simply because you think that you should. Also, it's not really mind control as much as just compulsion. Genghisdon wrote:The lasso rarely ever shows any power beyond infinite strength, length & mind controls pretty much nobody. Wonder woman, demi god, daughter of Zeus vs Jane Foster Thor: 50/50 (Jane has the 60 second limitation/alternate form weakness, "fake" Thors never do the crazy powered feats, but chivalry won't impeded her at all) Wonder woman, demi god, daughter of Zeus vs The UNworthy Thor (trades Mjolnir for axe of super god slaying): 55/45 (with fatalities the typical ending) Hmm, might as well give some odds on the current versions: Thor used to like beating up Ares too, they could bond over it, perhaps Herc can REALLY get under Thor's skin Diana.pretty sure Thor would end up courting her affections or be respectful & friendly to her. A problem with pitting avatars of goodness vs each other. They'd actually end up as draws 95% of the time. ![]() He wouldn't vs WW either, and he'd lose almost half the time due to it. Once again, though, Thor would not use such methods to beat him. Thor is vastly more powerful than Hercules (standard version/classic version). ![]() Or Thor puts on his belt, and becomes twice as strong. The problem with saying Herc has managed to beat Thor (once?), & their many draws, is again Thor's other 100+ highest end super powers (most via Mjolnir). Herc has an edge actually, in unarmed combat skill. (Marvel) Hercules & Thor are basically completely equals in strength, stamina, etc. The Enchantress has enchanted Thor at least a few times, yes although she beguiles him without the use of magic with a higher degree of success, it seems. Thor just would not even try to employ high end stuff vs Wonder Woman he'd be even less inclined to do than fighting the Hulk, say (& he never does then either). Thor is much more powerful, although, as I said earlier, I put them close for the fights at 45WW/55T. Better to avoid the exceptional (good or ill) periods & showings. Poor wonder woman had a period in the 1970's when she was a boutique owner/superspy. Then Thor got vastly more powerful than that (Rune Thor). Once upon a time Thor had the Odin force. The lasso rarely ever shows any power beyond infinite strength, length & mind controls pretty much nobody. I enjoyed Batman & Hulk, for example, but I'm not too sure Bruce could defeat the hulk so easily as this. Feh.I'd not try to use DC/Marvel crossovers as examples too much. ![]()
